SunLife of Canada retained Talbot Consultants International Inc. to carry out a marketing, re-positioning, and re-design analysis for Hazeldean Mall located in Kanata, Ontario. At the time of the study Hazeldean Mall was Kanata’s favourite shopping centre however its design and tenant mix were not keeping pace with new competitors and the changing demographics of the Kanata area. The results of the study provided SunLife with direction with regards the optimal tenant mix (this deliverable was a “hit-list” of prospective tenants), the optimal layout and optimal design for Hazeldean Mall. The final report for the study was then condensed for use as part of the leasing package for Hazeldean Mall.
