Stakeholder Spotlight: Pine Avenue Featured as Top Restaurant Row in Southern California

Our charming urban landscape and waterfront locale create an ideal setting for any dining experience – and that’s just what led to ABC 7’s Eyewitness News naming Pine Avenue one of the Top 7 Restaurant Rows in Southern California!
A recent news feature by ABC7 correspondent and Long Beach resident, Jane Monreal, focused on Pine Avenue’s diverse collection of restaurants all within walking distance of one another. Three unique establishments – Tracht’s, L’Opera and Café Sevilla – were highlighted in the piece, which places Downtown Long Beach among such landmark Southern California destinations as Beverly Hills, Old Town Pasadena and San Juan Capistrano.
Citysearch favorite chef, Suzanne Tracht, owner of the very trendy restaurant, Jar, on Beverly Boulevard, recently opened Tracht’s, an equally chic eatery, in the Renaissance Hotel. "I really didn't start to learn about Long Beach until I put a restaurant here," says Suzanne Tracht. "And, you know, I was very excited. I think we brought something to the community and to the hotel."
At L’Opera Ristorante, a Pine Avenue staple, owners Terry Antonelli and Enzo DeMurro offer a warm and elegant approach to fine dining where authentic Italian cuisine is matched with bend-over-backwards service.
Just a short walk up the street, diners seeking a spicy meal will love Café Sevilla’s Spanish fare and can even catch a Flamenco Dinner Show or take Salsa lessons with live music and entertainment.
